Pros

Great pay for entry level, relatively low stress, easy work in customer after care. Lots of benefits, free coffee and snacks in the office, WFH, flexible working options. Nice to work for a company that is actually trying to change the country for the better.

Cons

They use being a "start up" (even though they're well past this) as a reason for things like compliance, SOPs, frameworks not being in place. Lack of actual care for customers - the focus is very much on thr bottom line - and those with legit complaints are belittled, insulted and assumed to have no clue what they're talking about. Huge staff turnover. Lots of redundancies and short notice office closures

Pros

The staff are highly committed and hardworking—sharp, dedicated, and consistently delivering. The product itself is strong, both in its design and how well it functions.

Cons

Most decision-making is concentrated at the very top, with limited input from others. The company’s overall direction often feels unclear, and communication from leadership is sparse. Employees are urged to ‘push forward’ and solve problems, but there’s little guidance on who should lead, how to approach issues, or why certain paths are chosen.

Aira Has Lost Its Soul

Pros

The local team are amazing. There’s a shared purpose and a genuine team atmosphere. In my region, we communicate and have each others backs. On a national level, not so much.

Cons

Recent changes at board level have resulted in, what feels like, change for change’s sake. Aira used to have a clearly defined and understood mission and we all knew what we needed to do to achieve it. Group CEO has been replaced by a new CEO and Deputy. UK CEO also replaced. There now seems to be a massive lack of joined up thinking. The UK sales team has had 3 different directors in 3 months - and the only leadership seems to be ‘work harder’ accompanied by weekly doses of panic discounting, product offering changes and weak incentives.
