Last week, in Munich, we hosted our Twin Transformation networking event at the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab together with COALAXY – and one thing became crystal clear: Circular Economy isn’t optional. It’s the future. Together with industry leaders from automotive, electronics, robotics, and beyond, we explored how Product-as-a-Service (PaaS), combined with digital twins, is reshaping the way we design, deliver, and monetize products. 💡 Key insights from the event: - Circular design is the foundation: modularity, sustainable materials, and upgradeability are must-haves. - Digital twins are a powerful (and underutilized) enabler of the circular transition. - PaaS models open new revenue streams while driving resilience, sustainability, and stakeholder value. How to make Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) actually fun with Morten Huber! 😃 🔵 What inspired you to make MBSE more accessible? "Many engineers find MBSE overwhelming. I use relatable examples — like music — to make systems thinking easier to understand and more engaging. With a bit of creativity, modeling can actually be fun!" 🌐 What change do you hope to see? "I want more people to see that it isn’t as complex as it seems. When we bridge disciplines, systems thinking starts to come naturally. Start small, think big." 🍝 What’s next after your “Pasta & Orchestra” stories? "Next, we’re placing the orchestra in a broader System of Systems — imagine scoring a film at Abbey Road, where the orchestra, studio, and production all interact. Since 2016, we have been part of the FKi Diversity for Success (Women Career Index), an initiative promoting diversity and equal opportunities in companies. The index, based on data and internal surveys, assesses factors that support or hinder women's career progression. 🙌 Over the years, we have made steady progress, and our efforts were recently recognized! Our HR Director Judith Wallner had the honor of representing us at the FKi Fachkonferenz, where we proudly received our certificate from Barbara Lutz. A key highlight was a message from Federal Minister Lisa Paus, emphasizing diversity as a crucial success factor. Discussions also reinforced that economic challenges should not slow down DEI efforts. The FKi Index continues to measure progress, demonstrating how initiatives like sponsorships, mentoring, and diversity monitoring can create meaningful, lasting change. 💜

Olivier Sappin, CEO of CATIA, kicked off the event, showcasing our latest vision on Generative AI and highlighting the role of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in early development cycles and its potential to reduce errors —70% of defects are introduced during requirements!
