Pros

Very good work-life balance. Due to the very strong german unions it is nearly impossible to get fired.

Cons

Bosch is active on a lot of markets, but this review is from its automotive business unit. As the whole automotive sector, Bosch is very conservative. The core products are well established product lines with more emphasis on product management than on development. For engineers seeking a dynamic environment it may be no fit. Career advancement is extremely slow. Failed managers are assigned new tasks, department head level people without any department are not rare...

All is a Political Game

Pros

Nothing really worth mentioning here.

Cons

The organization operates in a Machiavellian manner, where all decisions are driven by politics rather than merit, leading to a toxic environment and high employee turnover. Certain segments, known as "Kingdoms," are rife with individuals engaging in political maneuvering, supported by uninformed managers. This conduct is marked by a complete lack of integrity, perpetuating manipulation, deceit, and internal sabotage. The culture of deceit and betrayal is pervasive, even celebrated with games that aim to teach how to be a good "saboteur" of competing groups. The resulting environment is toxic, unproductive, and detrimental to personal growth. It is advisable to steer clear of this organization.
