      Pros

      Technology is interesting. Benefits are standard.

      Cons

      Management provides no direction, cannot set priorities, cannot work as a team -each manager pursues his/her own agenda. Management has no idea what the team members are doing even though they use the latest management buzzwords like 'lean', 'daily management', 'kaizen', etc. People don't last more than 3 years and nobody is happy.

      Great Company/Terrible Team

      Pros

      Great PTO policy, sick time, fun events, the best 401k matching

      Cons

      Most departments here are amazing. The Parts Order Desk is just poorly managed. There's no future planning (such as shift coverage, company events/meetings), poor communication or lack of communication, inability to stick with a plan, and unprofessional catty behavior. It's wildly inefficient with process issues taking months to address if they're addressed at all.

But it's regrettable to learn that you're not quite happy in your team and with the management. We do recommend discussing your concerns and feedback with your HR person, as he or she has the resources to improve your experience.       Great People/Toxic Environment

      Pros

      If you land on the right team at Philips, every day can be an absolute joy. They take decent care of their employees (although it DOESN'T compare to the rest of Silicon Valley's tech sector). The company is stable, so you don't have to worry about it disappearing altogether.

      Cons

      If you land on the WRONG team, your life becomes a struggle to justify your existence. Massive layoffs happen every year at Thanksgiving. Benefits declined a little every year I was there.
