Pros

Some good products but they are overshadowed by the companies inability to execute, deliver, commercialize the tech. CV and patient monitoring are strong. The diagnostic imaging space is a train wreck with no end in sight.

Cons

Everything. The pay is way behind the industry, the service organization is all powerful yet the are not incentivized on customer sat, so the NPS scores are the worst in their space. Half the products can't ship. Parts are hard to find for new systems. It's a mess. No accountability, Senior NA leadership is a joke with no clue. Many of the best sales leaders just left in protest. The company continues to lose in every market they play in and yet no one is fired. No one let go. Little to no fresh blood. Major FDA issues have added to a misguided and poorly executed org change management program.

Overworked and underpaid

Pros

- Talented team, great individual knowledge and most colleagues are willing to support each other - Good team spirit in general - Free fruits

Cons

- Blaming culture is on a whole new level here - Very long working hours (overtime not paid) - You are expected not to go on normal holiday but take your off-time in small 1-2 days chunks so no one has to substitute you = you can do your missed work in overtime the next days. Actually there is a kind of a "competition" who has the most unused holidays from previous years, tells it all. - Weak on-site management (not willing to confront) combined with super bossy and controlling regional manager. - Very little chance for career development on-site due to small and flat organisation. You may have to move abroad to other Philips sites. - Low pay - In general you have a "cheap" feeling working there. Eg. very limited budget for business trips, old and cheap IT equipments/phones, no professional trainings

Hi there, Thanks a lot for writing your review and making us aware of what is happening in your department. We are here to listen! We definitely don’t want you to feel overworked and underpaid. Performance-related benefits increase in line. It’s nice that you have a good environment with your colleagues mutually, but you shouldn’t feel like a work horse. We understand that working for Philips can be intense and fast-paced, but it’s no use having our valuable employees over-burdened. Have you talked to your manager about this already? Please know that we encourage this, as we want to be transparent to our customers as well as our employees.

Pros

I can't think of any pros for the organization that blatantly cheats and misleads its prospective employees into a doldrum. This review is only applicable for the PACS L1 support team. Candidates are kept in the dark regarding the working days of the week and the shift hours. They are made to work in graveyard shifts during weekends without any benefit whatsoever.

Cons

Here goes the long list of cons applicable for the PACS L1 support team. 1. Lack of transparency on the shift timings. 2. Lack of transparency on the working days. After joining the team, told that the team works 24/7 including weekends and hence made us to work on weekends. 3. lack of basic facility provided during night shifts and on weekends. - No cafeteria access, No night shift allowance, No vending machine and neither does the milk get replenished to have a cup of tea/coffee to keep ourselves awake. 4. Lack of transparency on the job function. Hired people of software development background into a call center process. This was a horrendous experience after which my health and personal life took a severe beating.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience about your time working for Philips. It’s unfortunate to hear that your experience has been far from perfect. And it sounds like there are some things we could take away from this. We wish you the best in all your future endeavors.
