Pros

Some good collegaes, Company car, convention and VLP

Cons

Extremely toxic work-environment. Leaders are poorly educated, serveral manage by fear and micromanaging, and don't know what they're doing. Late work hours to reach targets, and a shitload of work everyday and sometimes weekends.

Pros

Company Car (Heavily BIK Taxed), Fuel Card, Tech (Laptop, Phone etc)

Cons

- Micro management: During the covid lockdowns BDM's who many are on £30k+ per year were forced to make 50 cold calls per day to care homes to sell PPE/Hygiene at a minimum of 20% margin. With that in mind we were also challenged for not meeting this activity number and targeted £1000 of new business per week without fail. - Pressure of targets and threats of PIP's if not exceeding. - Lack of empathy towards the current pandemic when it comes to work/home life balance. It is almost as if it doesnt exist and everywhere is open as usual. Just sell sell sell! Do not be snared at the lure of a good salary as the role has completely changed. The staff are dropping like flies due to the direction the company is going. If you want a role where you will be micromanaged, be challenged on pretty much everything, and told we must prove our worth continuously then this role is for you... if not save yourself the misery and please look elsewhere. Senior management decided that during the covid lockdowns they would put 70% of staff on furlough leave full time, yet create a mandatory annual leave policy closing on a friday. So every member of staff lost 1 day per week for 10 weeks, even if they were on furlough. So in my experience I was working through probably the worst period of my life, yet having to lose a days leave because of an SMT decision to close the factory on a friday? As a sales function SMT also decided the best thing to do was to remove all bonus payments for the whole of the year to protect the business! Fair enough... but dont make us sit through your SMT updates where you present that each quarter the business is making £6million profit...
