Pros

Nice people with the right intentions. Free snacks and lunches. Good perks with flexibility, gym, health benefits Growth with acquisitions

Cons

Seems great at first and on the outside, but it feels like a fake, shell company, hollow on the inside. Exec team is out of touch with employee issues, impersonable, and don't connect claiming spirituality when the company is in disarray with incompetent leaders who scream the loudest gets the attention and promotion. What is promoted in the book is the opposite of what's happening at the company. When you have a company full of "leaders" and no followers, everyone is going in all direction. Full chaos

Thank you for your candid review. We’re glad to see the positive things you have to say about Lightspeed over your time with us. We understand that there are areas for improvement, and our goal is always to provide merit-based promotions where we look at a careful balance between performance and work quality. Furthermore, the culture you describe is not what we intend for our employees as our leadership is very focused on caring for and improving our employee experience. Thank you again for your feedback and for having devoted your time to Lightspeed for so many years.

Pros

Advantages of working for Lightspeed are (amongst others) Job Diversity, plenty of ownership, energetic colleagues, opportunity to grow,

Cons

A lot of workload, company is constantly growing so usually too little time to to fit everything in 40 to 50 hours. If you're okay with working longer days, this is the place to be though.

Pros

The people at LightSpeed are Amazing to say the least. I really enjoyed going to work and interacting with my friends there. To this day, I am still in contact with my previous colleagues. The culture is very vibrant and fun, you get to work in a dynamic environment. Always fully loaded kitchen and the facilities are amazing. I also want to give a shoutout to Amir, one of the best leaders at LightSpeed. He's really fun to be around and he actually cares about his team. Always willing to help out and go the extra mile.

Cons

There a lot of cons. The working hours are pretty harsh and especially during end of month, you are expected to stay and grind even when hitting target is literally impossible. The targets are extremelly high and when I say extremelly high I mean it. Every single month there would be 1 person hitting target out of the whole team (11+) . It's a pretty depressing feeling when you go to work every single day knowing you pretty much have no chance of hitting your target but you still have to put on a smile and pretend like everything is fine. Manager are great but sometimes I did not like the fact that they would have team meetings to setup extra incentives that are even harder to hit than the targets themselves. Like seriously ?
