Pros

-Smart and talented coworkers. Can honestly say I don't have any coworkers that I don't enjoy working with. -Employees are actually given the autonomy to work when/where is most convenient as long as the work gets done and is done properly. -Amazing benefits/perks/culture (great insurance, work from home, kitchen, coffee garden, PTO, casual dress, dogs etc.) -The transparency here seems to be pretty unprecedented for a company of this size. It's insightful to have access to founder/C-level thoughts on topics ranging from corporate strategy to hiring initiatives. -It is refreshing to see hard-working people promoted from within.

Cons

-Cyclical work and growth leads to work-life balance being an issue sometimes. There are some late nights required by a lot of people to keep this place running. -I could likely receive a higher compensation package while working less hours in a similar role elsewhere.

Great feedback, thanks for taking the time to share it. I like your specificity on autonomy, benefits, and transparency, and your callout that we help people grow internally. I think you're right that sometimes late nights, particularly for finance, can be a challenge, so it's something we should continue to keep an eye on as we grow. If I can do anything to help navigate these, please let me know--thanks as always for the feedback and for the hard work you do to help HubSpot grow. -Katie

Pros

HubSpot is a place that really values growth and professional development. I can't even begin to count all of the awesome opportunities I've had -- from taking on exciting new projects that push my limits and allow me to develop my skills to attending workshops, trainings, and more.

Cons

Things at HubSpot move quickly. It's a trait that I've learned to love from my time working in the startup industry, but the ambiguity can be difficult for some at times.

I love that you identified ways to learn and grow at HubSpot in both formal and informal ways--it's one of my favorite things about being here. I completely agree with you that the ambiguity can be hard to navigate at times, particularly when we are scaling and growing so quickly, and I promise you we will do everything possible to be thoughtful about maintaining our focus on people and culture as we grow. It's a tall order, but I promise the entire management team spends a lot of calories and energy thinking about and addressing it, so I hope we make you proud. Thanks for picking HubSpot, for growing your career with us, and for your thoughtful feedback--I really appreciate it! -Katie
