Pros

looks good on a resume.

Cons

this company is I a downward spiral. They acquire companies to pad the pockets of the high levels. Our CEO made 10 million last year, meanwhile they slashed employee benefits. "Corporate greed" and " too big for its britches define this company.

Thank you for your feedback on LogMeIn. Our strategy includes both inorganic and organic growth and our acquisitions are made thoughtfully after very careful market evaluation and are done in service of our business strategy and expanding market position. I am not sure I understand the reference to padding executive pockets, but would be happy to discuss 1:1 with you. Perhaps I can share some information about the pay for performance practices that are built into our CEO / executive compensation programs, and how pay for performance is governed by our Board. Please reach out to me directly and we can discuss as I think there are some facts you may be missing when making your analysis of our M&A strategy and executive compensation. Regarding the company slashing our benefits, I think you may be referring to the adoption of unlimited time off and how that was rolled out. I am aware that some employees preferred to bank their time off for the future, but we ask our employees to work hard and we want to ensure they take time off to recharge and spend time w friends and family. We have enhanced many benefits around leave offerings and reward (bonus) and recently announced the intent to launch an ESPP program later this year. If there is a specific benefit you feel is missing from our offerings, please reach out to me or our benefits team and we’d be happy to discuss. Thanks Jo Deal HR

Pros

Not bankrupt yet. Based on the immediate manager, possible to get flexible hours.

Cons

Very political. Below average pay. Directionless. Every new upper management type has the same 'great new idea'. Which was tried and rejected many times before. Upper management makes stupid decisions and then forces employees to fix things. The latest scam is the 'Unified messaging'. Acquired Jive that sells Asterisk PBX that was obsolete all the way back in '97. There are more Directors and VPs than worker bees! Lost count on how many reorgs there were since the GetGo merger. Speaking of which, the merger - the tricky way to enrich the shareholders and upper management. Tone-deaf management. Sending useless employee surveys and doing nothing in response, except more surveys. Atrocious employee engagement. Plastered huge posters with the 'company values' all over the place. With zero intention of following them. Too risk-averse. Mostly yes-men (and women). Mortal fear of 'what the others will say'. Laid off entire customer support team in Goleta to offshore to contractors in Costa Rica. Following the 'low cost development centers' BS idea. Product managers, especially at the upper level are incredibly clueless. Protecting local turfs instead of thinking of customers. Investing in useless products nobody wants or needs. Latest 'gift' for the new year - a switch to the 'unlimited PTO' policy. With one week notice. As a result, the accrued PTO is forfeit. Nice. Stealing from employees. Untrustworthy, greedy, feckless, cheap bastards. The only goal is to enrich the top management. The only thing that is done well - Bill Wagner talking in platitudes. I guess mst CEO psychos have to learn to do that.

We appreciate your feedback of LogMeIn. It’s unfortunate to hear your thoughts on management styles and lack of engagement. We’re excited about the opportunities that come from our expansion into the UCC space and believe this provides LogMeIn a unique opportunity to unite best-in-class products and transform the way our customers communicate and collaborate with each other. However, our strategy and leadership are not for everyone and we understand that employees have choices.
