Pros

- Reasonable pay - Standard benefits - Reasonable PTO - Flexible work hours - Well staffed - Company experts and SMEs - Flexible about working from home

Cons

Honestly there are not a lot of cons for a big Ftn. 500 company. Just the standard complains: corporate, too many meetings, etc.

Pros

Decent pay. Good time off and benefits.

Cons

As a recent graduate, I had high hopes for joining Fluor Canada, but my experience was overwhelmingly negative. My department manager was not only ineffective at training or mentoring new hires but also created a hostile work environment. Rather than fostering growth, the manager’s approach was dismissive, lacking in any constructive feedback, and often showed clear biases, which left many feeling alienated and unsupported. The office culture, particularly with the GAP (Graduates Advancing to Professionalism) program, was deeply disappointing. Instead of creating a space for new graduates to learn and grow together, the environment was filled with gossip, cliques, and unhealthy competition. Collaboration between team members was almost nonexistent, with individuals more focused on outperforming one another rather than working together towards common goals. The lack of guidance and a toxic atmosphere made it extremely challenging to develop professionally. While Fluor may have strong technical capabilities, its culture, especially in terms of how it treats new graduates, leaves much to be desired. I would strongly advise new graduates to look elsewhere if they value proper training, inclusivity, and a supportive work environment.

Work flow has changed and we’ve not adapted from the old ways yet. Not sure we should, it worked for a reason!

If you are strong performer then Fluor's career opportunities are and pay scale are strong. The leads at Fluor are amazing, experienced, and helpful. The culture can be really fun, and the work at times can be very interesting.

Cons

High stress and responsibility, You have to be skilled and lucky to advance. Ripe with bureaucratics and politics. Corporate "drink the kool-aid" mentality.
