A Huge Lie! Not a Serious Company

Pros

Reasonable product that can have a good fit with the market, but it can be subject for legal validation in some regions.

Cons

Extremely unstable environment, senior management and board behave like amateurs, zero business sustainability mindset, no respect for market professionals or commitment with those once they are hired, no respect for clients and internal marketing campaigns to send good reviews about the company.

We hope you landed in a great place and wish you well. Sorry to hear your experience was sub-par. I have great faith in Dan Springer our new CEO and Scott Olrich our new CSO/CMO and Joan Burke our new Chief People Officer.. They have brought in a lot of fresh ideas and focus and transparency that has re-energized the team.

Pros

Spent a few years at DocuSign and it is a great technology. There are some great people in the organization who are very talented. The technical team is very strong.

Cons

Way too top heavy and turn over is very high for a company with this much promise. They haven't been able to crack the enterprise sales model which has resulted in a revolving door of enterprise sales leadership and go to market approaches. Only a few reps make their number and everyone else is sucking wind. Product, while really good, has not evolved too much. A lot of the best people have left already.

Thank you for your thoughts. Two years ago, we began re-engineering our approach to our Enterprise Business (including the sales component of that). We listened to our large existing and new enterprise customers, and it became clear that they need us to provide global solutions. In the past year, we believe this new approach has been validated as we have added several key strategic accounts and continue to build significant additional business within current customers. While that does not mean every person in Enterprise Sales has seen that same individual success, as an organization, we believe, we are headed in the right direction. — Chris McClain, SVP, DocuSign Enterprise Sales

Great Product; Culture Needs Work

Pros

The product is super compelling in how it improves efficiency inside companies and with their customers.

Cons

The company is very top heavy and appears to be overinvesting in its C-level structure. Oddly, Keith Krach seems unable to fire executives. He merely moves them into new C-level spots that they appear to create on a whim. This has shifted the culture in a negative direction, and it now feels more big-company. That was not what I wanted when I joined, and made it easy to leave for another company this year.

Thank you for your review. The product is super compelling and high-impact. There in lies the massive opportunity. We have invested in some seasoned executives and as we scale, we do develop new systems and processes. While this might appear more big company, hopefully we are still headed in the right direction. I think we are and some of our huge wins this last quarter seemed to say we are. We have also been developing manager onboarding and a manager toolkit which we just launched within the last month. We are also revamping some of our training bootcamps and Discovering DocuSign -- the 3 days training that every employee who joins our company takes in Seattle -- even international employees. And yet, there are growing pains and we have more to do. Best of luck to you in your next endeavor.
