Sales Intern

Pros

This internship not only provides you with an immense amount of foundational sales knowledge, through initial on-boarding and continual training, but it also gives you a chance to contribute meaningful work. The projects we worked on mirrored what the actual sales team was doing and we were able to see actual monetary contribution to the company by the end of the program. While there was structure, after a task was given there was autonomy to figure out and work on the task in our own manner. The full time employees were also very helpful and welcoming. The recruiters in charge of the program also do an above and beyond job of setting up fun activities inside and outside of the office and are very easy to communicate with about the intern roles. DocuSign also provided opportunities to meet with C level executives within the company to gain more insight about all parts of the organization.

Cons

Because DocuSign is still a growing company you have to be comfortable with a somewhat shifting program, shifting roles, and sometimes being the first to ever attempt to tackle a task.

Pros

Super fun people. Kitchen stocked with free food. Nice office space and amenities. Great holiday parties. Get to work with a lot of big name companies.

Cons

Most processes are a mess...nothing seemed to be streamlined. Constant change with little or no notice. Very high expectations with little assistance from Management. Pay is considerably less than comparable companies/positions. Zero flexibility to work from home and actually require you to be in the office at 7am even if you cover an East Coast territory.

Pros

Docusign has the benefits of top tech companies as well as the benefits of a smaller companies. There is the challenging and stimulating nature of the work that comes with a strong technical company. There is also very good compensation, with high base salary, all medical/dental/vision premiums paid, 4 weeks vacation, RSUs, free stocked kitchens, and more. But why work for Docusign over one of the larger tech giants like Google or Facebook? The answer is that Docusign is still a young company. There's room for much more impact on the growth of the company. There's more freedom, and quite simply a fantastic work-life balance that seems to have escaped tech giants.

Cons

Docusigns future is not necessarily as stable, considering how there is currently no CEO, and there is a desire to go public. The company could be bought out and changed, which can be scary to some. However, since most of the current investors seem to be quite reputable companies like Google and Apple, I would argue that Docusign is still quite a safe bet.
