Question 1
The role-playing really threw me off my preparation and I had to really think and react the way one would have to in real life and not just use the rehearsed answers. The interviewer also changed the scenario based on my reactions to see how I would react if all common engineering resources were unavailable at a customer site. The scenario was about a broken piece of equipment and how I would go about repairing it.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin
Interview
Very informal interview process. Starts off with behavioural questions and then moves into a little bit more technical software/architecture questions. All in all a fun process but lacking in structure and so is somewhat dependent on the interviewer that day.
Received a phone call to come to interview. Interview process lasted 1/2 day. Interviewed by 4 different managers. Questions were not technical in nature, basically asked about previous experience and asked some general questions. Also had a tour and was escorted by a current employee. Also had an HR representative present.
