Work is extremely repetitive. And the role is more of a data entry job in the beginning to be honest. You have very less autonomy or creative freedom when it comes to your writing. But if you do enjoy more of a clear cut job with a rubric, then this might be a job for you.
I have been with Atolls for a long time now and this year more than ever it’s more apparent that the management team are at their worst. Everyday feels like a wildcard day because we have different people giving different instructions and we are expected to live up to their demands at no notice. When we pose a question, no one is able to give an answer and people tend to pass the blame to each other. Managers also tend to make decisions without really asking, the people who are actually doing the work, about their opinions. And then when their ideas turns out to be horrible, the lower level employees are the one suffering as we are given extra work. Its to a point where everyday, we just have to go with the flow and not expect anything because anything could happen anytime
The opportunities for certain colleagues in certain parts of the world are definitely not up to par to our European counter parts. Its getting more and more apparent that they just view us as cheap labour and nothing else. For someone who has been here for awhile, I have never felt this way but the higher up in ranks I go, the more i see it.
Opportunities within the same hubs are close to horrible as well. The pay increments were absolutely horrible numbers. We were informed the company was not doing well financially which is why our incremental rates were low. Yet, some of the decisions they have been making this year doesnt look like it is made by a company that needs to be cutting corners. They fired colleagues who were excellent at their job but insist on keeping ones that have brought nothing but horrible work ethics and horrible behaviours to the table. People who perform well dont get promoted, instead they just promote you based on the number of years you work for which is beyond ridiculous.
Bonuses for certain teams are never there either. I have seen so many other teams get bonuses each year, yet the people, who are responsible for your products being live and uploaded accordingly, don't receive one. Be fair. If one gets a bonus, everyone should be entitled to receive one. Every year this is an issue and each year they don't address it. I dont know if they think people from other teams dont talk to each other and know about other’s receiving bonuses, but people talk and sooner or later people find out.
Dont get me started on the open door policy. They are only “open door” if the feedback that you have is positive. If you actually give them constructive feedback, be prepared to be viewed in a “certain” light.
