This place is a woke swamp where politics, virtue signaling, and parading take precedence over merit, professional ethics, and actual work. The manager frequently shared his political beliefs, assuming everyone agreed with him. His virtue signaling was nothing more than a facade, masking the absence of true open-mindedness, transparency, and honesty. There are so many forced meetings where the whole team is required to have their webcams on, even if there are more than 10 people and the meeting is only relevant to two. The manager constantly monitors what everyone is doing on camera. I have never seen any place with so many forced meetings. This environment epitomizes the modern leftist, authoritarian, woke, cancel culture. If you don't toe the line, then you're cancelled.

I worked a couple of years for the supply team within zalando lounge. Within the lounge and specially the supply team the work environment was definitely toxic. People are very demotivated and there is an overall negativity towards the employer and the work place in general. Unfortunately this is simply ignored by management. It is incredible to see how many talented, motivated, young people work there and are rapidly so disillusioned by the employer. I was unfortunately faced with mobbing at the workplace and quite frankly I have heard this quite often from colleagues. This conditions is however tolerated since employees are interchangeable in this company. In the supply team there was the general feeling that most employees were kept small within the team and company. On top of keeping people small within their team and department there is also not a real chance of developing and growing within the company. The being ‚kept small‘ is then justified with the feedback culture that is quite unique to Zalando. On top of all of the above, the pay is also very bad. Quite frankly I would not recommend working here. The company culture is not good and there is (realistically) not a good growth opportunity. Lastly, Management was unfortunately very incompetent and promoted even more incompetent people to cover up for their incompetency.
