Pros

The info to be successfull is there. The opportunity is also there for you to advance, you just have to be extremely motivated and get it.

Cons

Some of the downsides are a low amount of staffing during the non- peak times. But, you can still get around that by conveying the benefits of team work to your associates.

Pros

Walmart was a great place for me to work- there is ample room for growth....if you have the initative and drive, you can get promoted and achieve success! The pay is great for managment (Market level and above). Its a huge organiztion, you can learn so much...grow and develop your own skills.

Cons

over communication and inconsistency in the messages. Long hours- when you have your blackberry, you are expected to be available 24/7...some people respect family time, some do not...

Pros

It is a job that has stayed steady. Mostly decent people to work with.

Cons

There is a lack of respect given for the regular associates and their competencies. Very few managers that I've had experience with at Wal Mart are willing to work with your personal life needs.
