Not a simple job

Pros

Not many pro's its a job and it pays.

Cons

Dispatchers overworked and therefore become uncaring. Lots of disbelief. Emergency handling is slow; any communications are slow. Need to pay more but don't. Routes/bids are bad. if starting new expect to get a bad run and will continue for quite some time. Go for good sleep balance on the schedule

Pros

Option For collective bargaining union membership, Rising Salary and Healthcare benefits. Moderately useful retirement plan with a 401(K).

Cons

Not enough group information news meetings to inform personnel about the changing laws that affect the industry. Operators and passengers are excluded from the bus purchasing process.
