Pros

Lots of smart employees to learn from, resources and benefits of a large company, steady job to pay off student loans and save money when in your youth, working in some interesting areas of the market and interacting with big and small customers, diverse workforce

Cons

Old and conservative company, pay and raises could be better for younger employees, restrained by large size

Excessive focus on cost

Pros

Great people work here. There is also some degree of flexibility on your schedule. The benefits are generally good. One nice perk is that if you are in a high enough job grade you can earn not only bonus but profit sharing as well.

Cons

Resourcing is too tight, goals too broad. If you could focus on a few things it would be tolerable, but you get stretched so thin. Frequent re-orgs also mean that there's a lack of accountability. And finally, no one can do anything that costs money (unless you are in sales, presumably). It all leads to a very constrained environment with lots of little chiefs.
