Pros

Target offers its executive team leaders a very nice salary and benefits package. Depending on what store you are working in you could have a great career at Target or you could hate it. At stores I trained at, things where great, but when I got to my home store it sucked

Cons

Retail is not for everyone. Depending on what store you are working at it can be better than others, but retail can really suck at times. You have to be a strong individual to deal with guest and team members. At the same time you have to be fast fun and friendly

Pros

Some of the best readons to working at target is energy and enthusiam amonst employees. It is a very sexy corporate atmosphere where there are many good looking people who are motivated and smart. There is a lot going on around the campus which is a major plus for after work. And, suprisingly, Target does allow you a life outside of work unlike many other companies where you slave the whole day away at your cube.

Cons

The size, it can be easy to get lost in the mix of people at Target. There can be somewhat of a glass ceiling effect as people move laterally more than vertically.

Pros

Ability for advancement for those who work hard and are college degreed. Great culture base, but does depend based on store leaderships influence. Fairness and consistency. Clear and concise communication from headquarters teams. Good communication from District and group level teams. Clear and open expecations for every position.

Cons

Ability to manage work life balance. Recognition is not always consistent from senior leadership. It is stressed at the store level, almost force fed, but not always received in such a manner. Employee morale is generally good from store to store, but can be inconsistent depending on the leadership at each store.
