Pros

10% off all target purchases, good fellow business analysts, average age is really young as turnover is 50+%

Cons

awful work environment, horrible managers, an above average first year raise is 3%, hard to move to an area you are interested in, promotions are based on seniority or family, expect a 7% raise once you're promoted to senior BA after 2.5 - 4 years.

Target - Ehh...

Pros

The Discount. Really that's about it.

Cons

They want you to be available for all shifts. Will often try to work you for 6 hours at a time. That means you have to be willing to work 6-7 days a week to make any money. The work is repetitive and menial. Your boss puts you under tremendous amounts of pressure to get the job done, looking the other way if you take short cuts. But once the bosses boss finds out, prepare to be lectured on the Target way to do things, and how you shouldn't take short cuts.

Pros

The Target I was employed at treated most employees with respect. Good management makes a big difference.

Cons

Hours can be irregular. Lots of cross-selling, they really push credit cards with high interest rates.
