Pros

There are no prod to working for this company. They suck the life out of you.

Cons

Forced to push credit card on customers and reprimanded if goals were not met. The worst management I have ever worked for. Forced to stay extremely late into the night after shift was supposed to be over.

Pros

The environment was filled with friendly associates, coordinators and management. I found that management was easy to approach and that they were very flexible with workers. I really enjoyed my department, crew, and co-coordinator.

Cons

There was never enough staffing. My store is a high-volume store so without proper staffing, it is impossible to maintain an empty backroom and made unloading truck and unpacking and organizing freight hectic and at times overwhelming. I feel that the amount of work I and my team did was worth more than the amount that we were being paid. The starting pay at our store for associates is $12 and the starting pay for coordinators is $12.50 as of 2023. It is also difficult to move up within the company. People who should have been rewarded with management positions were often overlooked even though they had more experience and worked for the company for nearly a decade. This was very difficult for moral.

Pros

They're flexible with hours and scheduling.

Cons

The customers. Ever since hello kitty came out we've been getting busier than usual and sometimes customers can feel entitled. But in every job there are bad customers. THE CREDIT CARDS. I do want to say that customers get annoyed because they hear about the credit cards everytim they visit since its our job to. You need to get 1 person/100 transactions otherwise you're on associate participation tracker. Sometimes district managers won't give us enough payroll because we don't "make enough" and we can be understaffed on our busiest days! Womens department can get ROUGH. After everything we go through as associates we only get a 10% and once a month on one weekend we get 20% BUT only you, your spouse, or you dependant child gets to use it. I feel like this is not fair that we don't get to give it to our parents since they brought us into the world and if it weren't for them we wouldn't be working at TJ.
