Pros

The pay was weekly instead of biweekly.

Cons

There was a lot of micro managing, unkind remarks, and harassment coming from management. I would bring my concerns to management and they would go unheard or be disregarded.

Pros

Job was rarely stressful and actually somewhat fun

Cons

I am unsure if this was just my store but here were our rules: -Strict dress code -Have to work every other weekend -Cannot arrive less than five minutes before shift or you are considered late -If you get sick, you have to find a replacement -You are allowed so many sick days, but if you use those sick days, you get in trouble and have to attend formal counseling -Like three people want to open a credit card a week. Why is our goal almost 200 a month? Be realistic.

Pros

Interacting with the customers, customer service aspect was extremely rewarding, connecting with very few nice coworkers. that would made you feel welcome.

Cons

Some supervisors and managers followed black and brown shoppers around the store accusing them of stealing constantly. And some would stand behind us as we rang up bipoc customers to make sure they weren't stealing and when they returned items, by pretending to talk to us or them and "fake" being interested, it was so prevalent. Everyday indignities were blatantly obvious; with black and brown shoppers were being treated worst than white shoppers here, just to name a few. The black and brown employees were accused of stealing too; they would get harassed, I saw all sorts of microaggressive behavior. The bipoc employees were being pressured, isolated, and bullied if they would not racially profile Bipoc customers and treat them very, very badly. There were some supervisors and managers that would take credit for your work, try to pit employees against each other and instigate conflict amongst each other; by asking what one thought of anothers work, talk down and degade employees even when they were doing a good job, insulting them in front of customers and fellow coworkers.
