Pros

Benefits package is good, very good heath package. The company was much better before the new CEO.

Cons

It seems the culture completely changed after the new CEO. To me, it seems now a certain group of associates make it and if you're not in that group of people you don't. No room for advancement, they make you think there is room, little recognition, very cut throat and hostile leadership, no positive accountability, the recognition is petty, glass ceiling. The hours are horrible. Holidays and inventory are a nightmare. You will not see your family or have a consistent schedule to plan with friends and family. It's a very, very lonely, depressing career. It personally broke me down in everyway and took all the life I had out of me. Finally, you have to sell credit cards or can be held accountable leading up to termination for this. This is all in my opinion.

Pros

There is always something to do, It is hard to get bored and the hours go by fast. My coworkers were very nice, and did a good job teaching me. I also enjoyed just the mundane of my job. I worked on "the floor", so mostly putting clothes away and re-organizing. I hardly had to talk to customers, and I secretly wore an earbud so I could listen to music. Other than the amount of standing/walking it was nice to go to a job where I didn't have to constantly "think" or stress out. I found my hours to be good, but I only worked part-time so I didn't need a lot of hours.

Cons

The pay sucks, and they lied on their Indeed/ZipRecruiter about pay. The managers are very uptight, and having to shill out TJ Maxx's horrible credit cards wasn't a great experience. Also, the amount of walking you do is horrible. I had back surgery, and I would have never done this job if I knew about how many miles you'd walk per shift. I wore my apple watch and recorded my steps. For a five hour shift I'd walk over 6 miles. Ridiculous and not enough breaks. And they were unwilling to accommodate for my back-problems.
