They have created a communication barrier in the name of your line manager.

Horrible work life balance, you are a number, no matter how hard you work and crap you put up with to please them as an employer it’s never rewarded. Terrible business ethics I put in a two weeks notice and they let me go without letting me work it out. I got sick that same week and called out sick I never take off days and then worked that Friday and after they tell me I can go cause they have someone to fill the void, they spread rumors that I was let go for not showing up to work.
