      M&A activity lead to cost savings measures that cost many of the companies stakeholders to lose their jobs. Company culture and expectations can very greatly between offices.

      Pros

      Good focus on design process to reduce effect of errors. Maintains control of cost and investment for projects. Profitability is a prime focus, enabling long term survival.

      Cons

      Some of the soul has been costed out of the company. i spent 2 X 4 year terms there, separated by about 15 years. The first time the company was growing and I experienced an "all hands on deck" approach to development and production. By the second time, starting in 2011, the cost accountants had taken most of the fun out of the work. I didn't heed the warnings about re-organization, and it did affect me.
