Pros

1. Very intelligent and reasonable direct boss 2. Large company providing many opportunities for exposure 3. Friendly colleagues

Cons

1. No job security - constant organizational restructuring and lay offs 2. Politics - amplified post merger between JCI and Tyco 3. China centric - too much focus on China business; opportunities elsewhere overlooked 4. Lack of emphasis on developing young talent - average age clearly on the high end

Pros

It is a job and you will get paid

Cons

Depends on what department you work in but you may get sent home a lot or you may work 13 days and then only have 1 day off before you start it all over again. They say they care about the employee but I have seen otherwise. Line Lead treats you like you are in a prison camp with NO HUMAN RIGHTS.

Pros

Good local teams, and the work can be challenging in good ways. Lots of training opportunities.

Cons

Merger with TYCO leaves some uncertainty as to future of the branch offices.
