Pros

(before pandemic) constant free food, and all around freebies from vendors, this can be somewhat limited to only sales though. But there were often buffets set up, games, and just general freebies. - Opportunity to earn extra bit of cash through attending training's from vendors. - It is a friendly atmosphere, people want to help you learn, and are generally ready to help. - There seemed to be a general focus on moving people up (if they so desired) - the benefits are pretty good, along with a credit from Ingram towards health, dental, vision, or FSA with any leftover. - The atrium (buffalo location) is nice, it's good to have an onsite cafeteria option if it's something you're looking for, however this may not mean much in current times, you were often given free lunch coupons. - A good amount of events and parties from the company and vendors (Again pre virus) off work hours, with free food, alcohol, small gifts, and fun activities. These were great ways to bond and feel more connected to co-workers. - you will have the opportunity to meet some stellar people - You're expected to bring your laptop home, however they never ask you to work outside of your monday to friday answering emails or anything at home, occasionally opportunities for overtime however (if you would like) - paid holidays, summer hours, immediately vested 401k with 50% matching up to 5%. - you take phone calls and emails, in a normal world 3-5 phone calls per day, however this can vary wildly during height of the pandemic ranging up to 30-40 calls per day (this is not the norm)

Cons

- The computer system they use to enter and maintain orders is an extremely outdated system from the 80's, and while it generally "works" it's extremely inefficient and takes weeks to learn at best. When I left they mentioned they were moving over to Microsofts IM360 for more things, hopefully this pans out as it is needed. This was probably my #1 gripe. - I felt the pay, while decent, wasn't really adequate next to the information you're expected to retain and learn, and constantly changing. It should also be noted the company paused any pay increases to employees during the pandemic, I may have missed the reasoning behind this but my assumption is to save cash during uncertain times. - business units vary wildly in difficulty and it's basically luck of the draw where you're placed in that regard

Pros

If you like food there is no shortage. Co-workers , well some are cool. Recently INGRAM does not pay well so you get what you pay for.

Cons

Managers- You have very few very good managers in PLG, and many that are the worst of the worst. Some that will not even give you the time of day or say hello to you. Order entry system from the 80s that is def. not user friendly. Other systems including quoting system that was designed poorly. Always promising improvements but nothing improves. PLG is a revolving door of ppl because nobody wants to stay. If you are a yes man then you will go far.

Pros

Great place to gain experience. Good people to work with.

Cons

Little to no loyalty. Don't worry about retirement parties, they fire anyone who is there "too long" to save $$
