Pros

1. Good Campus 2. Good brand image 3. Good media management...even if company gives a 2% hike it makes it to the news.

Cons

At the time i joined there were 7000 employees and It was a good place to work for. Over last 10 years, infosys has gone from bad to worse and in the recent recession it became unbearable. Some of the worst things noticed here are: 1. Bad politics...if you don't have a Godfather, be ready to be screwed. Without a Godfather, there is no recognition of talent anymore when company is >100000 employees 2. Some of the worst policies in the industry. Whats with forcing people to clock 9.15 hrs when they are on bench. 3. Cost cutting to ridiculous extents. Company relocates you to different places in US and then finance dept doesn't want to pay you for lease breakage and other stuff under some pretext or other. 4. Worst Salaries compared to the market 5. No growth for individuals. 6. An environment that instills constant fear in the minds of people specially at US in the name of operation independence and what not. There are so many other bad things that i can write but am ending the review here because i am feeling shameful of myself of having been a part of this organization for 10 painful years and still not able to find a job in the current US market. Please pray for me so that i can move on from this organization asap.

Pros

Its a good learning curve for new college graduates. I think the environment is so accepting of people who would normally never be given an opportunity to work in IT a chance ( I am only referring to the US hiring program, and I know the Indian hiring process is a lot more demanding) . Now, to say thats a great thing for the client to have a lot of inexperience onsite people.. meh, whatever, it gave me a good job to learn a lot of job skills for the first 2 years. However, if you planning to focus on something that will interest you in that area.. time to move on.

Cons

I felt really isolated in the company; that was my biggest complaint. I think the big reason was the nature of my project and being an american hire. So, instead of feeling part of something bigger, my world was my cube and I didn't even see other infosys people most of the time! Maybe once in awhile when my manger tells me to take irrelevant certifications, turn in my time sheet and join a weekly team call to hear other infosys talk about thier work that was completely not related to mine.

Pros

Very good campus. Very good infrastructure.

Cons

Cons are endless. 1. You have to be in office for 9.15 hours even you have finished your work in time or you have no work. 2. Poor salary. 3. No opportunity for personal carrier growth. 4. No onsite now a days. 5. You have to complete 2 certifications in order to get good rating irrespective how good you at work.
