Pros

- Health insurance coverage has been the best I've had - lowest of costs and the company takes care of the deductibles. - The pay is fair or above market value - the employee reserved stock units is often what makes your pay exceed the market value - New hires are pliable and extremely coachable, experienced hires are people who are "remarkable" at their prior roles; I've learned a lot from my peer. - Work-life balance is real here, same with unlimited vacation. You take what is needed and the team absorbs your absence with a plan. - People care about other people - so much that we'll often sacrifice our own goals to work on someone else's project that requires our expertise so that it succeeds. - If someone spills coffee in a meeting, the following will happen without fail: the closest people will drop their surroundings to help, the people on the outer ring will look for paper towels, and then the hive mind solves the problem. - The company structure changes every year, to best facilitate problems that need to be solved in the near future.

Cons

- Free waffles on Wednesdays occasionally gets cancelled - Boardgame nights start way too late in the day - Mystery Dinners (eat with a C-suite, chat, paid by HubSpot) favors a younger crowd without family commitments - HubSpotters feeling "entitled" to company perks (like all three mentioned points mentioned above) - On a more serious note, the company structure will occasionally make employees lose morale. Turnover tends to occur during those times, but it is still way below the industry average.

Thanks for your input, and for the forward-thinking push on the CRM and bitcoin. My hope is that our acquisition this week will assure you our product and BD teams are taking a hard look at our future and how we can align our product to future needs. Your feedback is really thoughtful on both sides, thanks for sharing it--we've made attempts to address some of your concerns by doing Mystery Lunches for parents specifically to ensure it's not always an evening commitment, but definitely agree that we can do better there. Also agree that entitlement can be an issue-it's something we actively try to find a balance on, but it's a dance we have to continue to navigate with our employees. Thanks for your feedback and for helping HubSpot grow! -Katie

Pros

HubSpot is an incredible place to work and grow your career. I find the work to be challenging in the best way. I've got a manager who supports me wholeheartedly, an executive team that listens and takes action, and peers that are insanely smart, talented, and driven. I've been given the tools I need to succeed, but I have to work hard to provide value for our customers and hit my numbers. Something I really appreciate is that the company practices what it preaches with HEART and our mission. Being in such a transparent workplace is even better than I expected, and the company is open when we aren't meeting goals. It's pretty cool to see it all in action. Another thing I really value is the number of opportunities I have to get involved outside of the 9-5. A few awesome things I'm involved with are Women at HubSpot, People of Color at HubSpot, HubSpot on the Town, book clubs (thanks, free book program!), Healthy at HubSpot, and even a Ru Paul's Drag Race fantasy league.

Cons

It is an incredibly fast-paced place, so it's not built for everyone. For example, I used the unlimited paid time off to take a 2-week vacation and when I came back there were a number of big changes that took place in what seems like the blink of an eye. I personally love this, but it can be tough at times.

How is there a Ru Paul Drag Race fantasy league and no one filled me in!? This is an outrage. All kidding aside, I'm so happy that you found things at HubSpot that make your heart sing, both formal and informal initiatives. There is truly nothing that makes me more delighted than people finding an environment where they thrive, so I'm delighted HubSpot and your manager have done that for you. Your callout on change (particularly coming back from being out of office) is a really good one, thanks for pointing it out. Most importantly, thanks for making our culture better with your input, feedback, and attendance and participation at so many events--it's people like you that make HubSpot so wonderful, so thank YOU for that! -Katie

Thanks for the review and for calling out our commitment to D&I--it means more to me than you know that our programming exceeds what you've seen before in your career, so thank you for that. Totally agree on change, particularly this year, so thanks for calling that out as an area we need to be mindful of. I promise we'll keep doing ENPS and responding to chilis--thanks for your feedback there and here to help us grow and improve! -Katie
