It makes my entire week that you feel invested in the future of the company and our mission--I'm more energized than ever by the work we need to do, so it makes me endlessly happy when employees feel it too. I would agree with you that we've always been data driven but that some of our systems need upgrades and some of our businesses require additional insights and investments of time and resources to solve for our customers at scale--I think we have the right folks on the bus to make that happen, and believe that BET will play a critical role in helping us get there over the next several years. I'm not sure what team you're on, so I can't tell whether bonuses are something you could potentially earn over time, but either way--totally understand the push on wanting skin in the game. Thanks for sharing your feedback and for all the hard work you do here every day, I deeply appreciate it. Sincerely, Katie

Great company, exciting future head

Pros

I've been working at HubSpot full time for several years now -- and never before have I been as excited about the future. The company is in the midst of transitioning from a single (marketing) product company to having multiple products and -- most importantly -- a free CRM that we expect to be widely adopted. The product is great and fun to image where we can take it. The energy and excitement around the office is remarkable and hasn't changed from my starting days pre-IPO.

Cons

As with any company that's growing rapidly -- with multiple offices around the world, new products and new go-to-market models -- there is some growing pains. For many 'managers' this is their first time managing someone, and sometimes they're not great at it. Additionally always staying on the same page about everything that is going on can be tough and while people try to always post to the wiki, that's hard to keep up with.

Thanks for the thoughtful review! I love that you're excited about the future (I happen to share your enthusiasm), and that you referenced specifically the opportunity ahead of us with the CRM to help companies globally grow. I think your advice to us is spot on, frankly--as you may have seen, I'm currently working on some changes to our internal communications that I hope will help keep all of us strongly rooted in our vision for transparency and autonomy-the vector alignment Dharmesh referenced at our most recent company meeting. I hope you feel the impact of that willingness to adjust, but please keep me honest on it--happy to iterate as we grow. Most importantly, thanks for your hard work at HubSpot and for helping us get better with your input--growth is incredibly hard, but I'm proud of how we've handled it to date thanks to employees like you. We are certainly not perfect, but pushes like this help us to keep improving--thank you again and please do ping me on the internal communications stuff if you have additional input or ideas, would love to hear them! -Katie

Pros

Super smart hard working people - and super nice.

Cons

Competitive - we opened a new market and it didn't work out - so I didn't have the numbers to show to move to another role.
