Pros

Able to see a start up turn successful and work in an open environment. Food always available, with a gym, nap room and more. If you do your work, you have the freedom that you want.

Cons

Depending on the position, you may only be involved ad hoc jobs.

Pros

Amazing people and an amazing culture will enable you to achieve amazing things. You will be rewarded if you are a star. Company is not stingy about equity compensation when you deliver but you will work for it. Huge opportunities to learn and grow.

Cons

You will be among stars so be prepared to be humbled. You will not be the smartest person in the room. The market the company competes in is highly competitive and getting more intense. It's unclear whether the incredible culture will remain through the challenging times ahead. Like all software/tech companies the diversity is substantially lacking but the company's management is very aware and working hard to improve.

Thank you for the review and the sentiment--I love what you said about preparing to be humbled, I truly feel that every single day coming into work, and it's one of the reasons I love working here. Completely agree we have continued work to do on diversity and that we need to continue to innovate and be diligent on the culture front as we grow--I look forward to working with you and our other leads to make that happen. Thanks again for the review and for helping our customers and employees grow, Katie

Losing Focus on Employees

Pros

Used to be a great place to work where you could work hard and play hard with coworker and manager alike - a lot of camaraderie. Now, it feels like more of a work hard or harder kind of place.

Cons

Don't feel valued by management. Trainings are solely focused on product changes; there's absolutely no focus on career advancement or employee growth. Feels like you need to know someone in other departments in order to branch out within the organization career-wise.

Really saddened to read this one, sorry to hear that you're not feeling valued at HubSpot. Happy to chat more in person if you feel comfortable doing so, or to have you as part of the career growth brainstorms we are holding in response to ENPS feedback if you'd rather not identify yourself--the goal is to get a lot of great ideas to help us move forward specifically on career growth progression, so would love your input to be part of that equation. Thanks for helping us improve here and keeping us accountable for prioritizing employees, Katie
