Pros

Employee discount at all three of their retail stores. Big box distribution center with high volume using a push philosophy instead of the more traditional pull philosophy found in distribution.

Cons

Management team lacks vision and intelligence, continually creating additional work due to poor planning. Training of new employees is mediocre at best. Salary employees are required to work overtime and are not compensated.

Pros

Clear idea of job duties, diverse coworkers. Not much else to say.

Cons

Very bad and abusive management, poor training, hard to receive benefits, poor scheduling. GM was intimidating, making it difficult to discuss issues or concerns and even ask simple questions. Discounts were too low. Constant pressure to sell credit cards with little to no incentive. Assistant managers always on cell phones during work hours. Too strict on voids as well.

Pros

It was a very busy fast paced environment which made the day go by quickly.

Cons

As the number 1 store in the company it was so frustrating that we were always understaffed. We got so many customer complaints that the lines were too long even when we had every available cashier up front ringing. There was one night where we had a huge line and only 4 people that knew how to ring and when I spoke to the store manger about this he just shrugged. The managers don't care and don't want to do their jobs. Most of them spend their entire shifts sitting around talking in the back office while I worked my butt off for a fraction of the pay.
