Pros

I come to the office on flip flops and no one cares. I feel like my opinion is genuinely heard on discussions even with more senior engineers around. The people are generally very smart but also humble.

Cons

It takes longer to build and sse them in production due to the sheer scale / processes like code review, privacy review, UX reviews... Most of these processes have a reason to exist and are eased by great tooling

Benefits Collaborative atmosphere Smart and driven colleges Massive growth in Cloud and potential to shape.

Cons

The Google Cloud part of the company is turning more and more into a very traditional B2B Enterprise company as the workforce has been grown aggressively through external hires from Oracle, SAP and Microsoft. Google's culture is much less present there, with more emphasis on hirarchy, 'sales culture' and politics compared to Google's traditional very entrepreneurial, hands-on and 'engineering culture'. Still a good place to work with collaborative, smart and friendly coworkers. Just not necessarily how you would expect Google to be.
