Pros
- high paced challenging environment where you learn how to create slides and spreadsheets - you learn a lot about messaging to different target groups, project mgmt, and delivering high quality output - company events are pretty cool - you have a really great brand in your resume and when reaching the consultant tier (not associate), you get a decent salary for the time you spent
Cons
- entry salary is pretty low compared to what is now paid in tech - entry salary becomes even more ridiculous when you include the excessive overtime - total loss of self-determination. you do what you are told, whenever what is. don't expect to maintain a personal life during the week - learning curve in start-ups is much higher for things, so leave when your learning curve starts to flatten, don't follow the carrot - no honest career communication possible - better keep problems to yourself
