      Pros

      Good benefits. Were very supportive of my good work, after giving me the axe.

      Cons

      I was working there in Afghanistan, on my 6th month, when they came to me and told me they were replacing me with two Philipine Engineers, to save money. Yep, they saved money, and paid me for 30 days while I found a new job, which I REALLY appreciated. but I heard the project went south after I left.

      Pros

      Working in a war zone there isn't really much to complain since you accept the challenges and hardship. ECC provided great security service for the personnel and administrative support was great. Working with a multinational team in a matrix organization was great.

      Cons

      Comparing to the competitor companies, ECC compensated 20-25% lower in salaries. There wasn't really a career opportunity for promotion, the company usually filled the higher positions outside the organization with new hires. Most of the senior management staff was directive and arrogant in most cases instead of providing guidance or mentorship. Also, there is no appreciation / award from the senior management only complaints.

      Pros

      Great Health Care, Salary was reasonable, job was challenging but 'doable', the kind of job I like. I was getting in on the early formation of the vertical building group. Location was great.

      Cons

      The company was laying off people, and doing it badly. I would receive emails sent to the whole company saying today is my last day of work, enjoyed working with you. It was kind of spooky. The management of the project was done very poorly with people going behind others backs, back stabbing, no honesty and their #1 key value was Friendship. Right, stab you with a smile on your face.
