Pros

Some of the most steller, hard working sales people I've seen in this industry. I've learned so much from the individual mentors that made this place amazing when they were still a young company.

Cons

Management. Lies. I was there when there was only about 70 employees. Things were real. People worked hard. Company flourished. New management settles in, culture shifts - HQ moves to SF, no one knows. Sales teams get decimated... and it goes on and on. So many good people were pushed out only to be replaced with a bunch of people with no relavant skills. Just buddies from previous companies parachuting in to ruin families. Personally, I try to give my two weeks notice and was simply pushed out - got ripped off in payment that was due. Etc. When you have former employees suing you, this clearly isn't the right place to be at. I've had people I don't even know find me and call me on my phone, long after I left. Literally crying about how unfair their manager was treating them. The product and some people are really hard working here, but all the politics and power struggle between the management team has ripped this place apart.

Pros

Some of the most talented salespeople in the industry. Great technology. Team oriented culture.

Cons

This is not a work-life balance company. Different teams within the same role have very different experiences. Micromanagement at it's worst, mandatory 50 hrs a week in the office and call stats reported daily. It's a boiler room mentality. Quotas are unachievable and keep going up. This is a whale hunting role not a transactional sales environment which takes at least a year to ramp up your pipeline. You need the big deals to hit your quota, but large opportunities get poached by Enterprise reps. Certain AE teams receive consistent leads, others fend for themselves and cold call to survive. Terrible morale and low compensation.

I can't speak to the specifics of your comments as almost three years has passed since you wrote them. However, I think you would find that our sales and account management approach has been retooled since you were here as we have brought on seasoned sales management.

Pros

Flexible hours, free beverages, nice view, some very nice, hard working people, near the bus, reimbursements for parking or bus passes.

Cons

Cronyism at it's finest -- doesn't matter what you know, just who you know; self focused, arrogant and mostly inept new leadership; failure to tell the truth about shifting corporate headquarters to San Francisco and pretending employees are to dumb to figure it out; new "management" dismantled what actually made the company succeed and is now struggling to put the pieces back -- similar to what they destroyed; secretive, back stabbing. Not a culture that most people would thrive in for very long.

A lot has changed at the company -- especially in our senior leadership -- since you wrote this review. We recently interviewed 62 people across the company to help us learn why they joined DocuSign and why they stay and it's the people and the massive opportunity. we are highly collaboratively, like creating product, systems, partnerships in order to have an impact on our customers and our communities. So something is working. However, I respect that we have different opinions and hope that you have found a good job fit post-DocuSign.
