Pros

The people at DocuSign are amazingly smart, collaborative and fun. The product is great and will be a standard app in the not too distant future. Innovation is also very good here.

Cons

CEO is inspiring and a hard worker. Most of his direct reports are solid and smart. Sales leadership is immature and lacks sophistication - all the way up to the CRO. Needs an upgrade to keep the company moving forward in the right direction.

Pros

eSignature is a great viral market

Cons

Those who have been in the trenches for years at DocuSign are left behind with every new VP hire. Honesty is a bad word. When it came time to pay or to admit mistakes, it became time to present a new comp plan, or shown the door. The sales management of the company is poor at best, the old line sales team and a few new commers are keeping the place going.

Thank you for your review. We've come a long way in two years and have brought in some very seasoned sales people. I think you'd find it a much different place today. And we hope you have landed in a good spot.

A Hot Mess

Pros

Very good product. Good Customer Base

Cons

The title really tells the story. The product is very hot but the company is very poorly managed and poorly run. They are way overstaffed in marketing especially when they outsource so much. Product development is wasting its time on connectors that are pretty useless (Sugar, MS CRM, etc). If you join this company as an Account Executive, you're making a big mistake. 70% of the AEs are not making their numbers. The only ones that are in the financial services vertical and those "guys" have been protected for years. Look on the salaries tab on glassdoor...I assure it's very accurate. Seattle and San Francisco are not cheap cities and making that in a market where other companies will pay you much better seems stupid to go here. I was sold on how much money I was going to make a DocuSign and now realize it was a lie. Sales Management is immature and inexperienced. Everyone in Marketing is either a Director or a Manager and most of them have no direct reports. Previous reviews that use the words "Frat House" and lack of "Integrity" are accurate

Thanks for your review. I think you'd find it a much different company today. Our partnerships with MSFT, Salesforce, SAP, Apple, Google as well as our API developers are driving growth. We have made great strides in enterprise sales with some sizable wins. It's very exciting -- the momentum is building. We lead with integrity and anybody who feels we don't lead with integrity can raise issues with senior management who take steps to make sure we do by getting people in line or showing them the door.
