Pros

- Easy to sell product - Lots of commission if quota is achieved - Plenty of benefits for COVID relief, Dental, Medical, 401k - Flexible work-life balance - Relatable and not over-bearing managers - Big tech name - Promoted lots of diversity, which seems like a recent push

Cons

- Limited promotional path, no ability to move into other departments for 2-3 yrs - Consistent unexpected changes in quota requirements - Lack of communication between higher-ups and sales team - High turnover for talented SDRs taken by other companies - Unfulfilling when goals aren't reached - Frat/Sorority like environment where your connections or likeness does gain an advantage - Very large mix of recent college grads to those in their late 20s - Huge sales org, hiring 5 each month - Constant stress of meeting sales minimums - No % of MRR on deals closed - Low base salary - Stress from missing quota can lead to a toxic work-life balance if you're on PTO worried about work

Thank you very much for writing a review. We will be sharing your review with our HR leadership as well as Sales leadership. Over 93% of our employees will be able to work at least 50% of the time when we reopen our offices globally. The designations – Flex, Remote and In Office – are assigned at the role level based on business and team needs. There is some flexibility in that employees can discuss more generous remote work arrangements with their manager depending on individual, team and business needs. There is more information about this in the Back to Better Employee FAQ on the Hub (our intranet). We’d also encourage you to read more about the Internal Job Transfer process and Career ladders on the Talent Development site on the Hub if you do wish to make an internal move. Finally, we will share your comments regarding the culture not being inclusive with leadership as well so that those concerns can be addressed.

Pros

- Recognizable brand and considered a market leader - High-growth industry - Ideal stepping stone to further your career elsewhere - C-staff seem like they are saying and doing the right things

Cons

- Too much bureaucracy/politics in the middle layers, so managers aren't empowered to do the right thing for the company and their direct reports. The competent go-getters who can deliver consistently aren't rewarded, because promotions are popularity contests. - Lack of investment/resourcing and career development for high-potential people, who can make an impact to the organization. If you want to be promoted, you have to leave DocuSign. - Unclear roles and responsibilities - Lack of accountability.... incompetent people can skate by and take credit for other people's work. It's ok if incompetent people ignore the go-getters, but if the go-getters ignore them, they complain. Two great examples are Product Marketing and INTL marketing teams, who have no measurable impact but complain the loudest and create more work for other teams.
