Pros

Offers some workplace flexibility. Work from home option is nice. Lots of great professionals to work with who are good people.

Cons

Turnover. Lots of people have left arcadis recently due to poor stock performance. Management has been terrible with communications regarding the company. Billable hour goals have always been unreasonable.

Pros

Working with Arcadis was one of the most disappointing professional experiences I’ve had. The culture is deeply fractured — collaboration is rare, and backstabbing is more common than teamwork. Communication is almost non-existent, with most people working behind non existent cameras from messy, unprofessional home setups ( sometimes i wondered to myself what crack is my colleague smoking today to come up with this attitude). You’re often left feeling isolated, with little support or visibility into who you’re even working with.

Cons

There’s a performative tone to the way things are run, but behind the scenes, it’s disorganized and disconnected. Leadership feels more interested in maintaining internal cliques than driving actual innovation. Despite the image they try to present externally, the organization is behind in both technology and mindset. It’s not surprising that clients are starting to walk away — after a short time working there, it becomes clear why. The culture doesn’t just lack support; it actively drains motivation.

Pros

Pros? lol The silver lining of my career's darkest days in the metaphorical Alcatraz that was Arcadis. I discovered some unexpected perks of working for a horrendous employer. Firstly, the sheer endurance one develops while surviving in the nightmarish realm of Arcadis is unmatched - I've become a modern-day emotional gladiator. Secondly, my boss, the skilled tormentor who turned the office into a living inferno, taught me a valuable lesson: how not to treat people. And finally, amidst the chaos and dread, my daily dose of schadenfreude intensified as I watched others set their own trap. So, while Arcadis may have been a nightmare, it offered an unparalleled crash course in resilience, human relations, and the art of finding amusement in the direst of situations. This place will forever be my case study to future new hires on how not to treat people and how to create the best work environment for the next employer.

Cons

Ah, the fond memories of my career's darkest days. Picture it: trapped in the metaphorical Alcatraz that was Arcadis. Surely, a divine lesson in resilience as I channeled the tribulations of Job, the wandering Israelites, and Jesus' betrayal and crucifixion. Who knew the Bible could so aptly capture the short-lived saga with this abysmal employer? Arcadis was never my dream gig - just a desperate means to keep a roof over my head. I had my heart set on another opportunity that was awarded to an internal hire. The crushing blow left me marooned in the nightmarish realm of Arcadis. My boss? She was the personification of a nightmare: a skilled tormentor who turned the office into a living inferno. And not a single soul dared to like her. Now, welcome to the Game of Thrones, "midwest/west coast" edition, where my manager ruled with a flair for betrayal and vanishing acts. Rare sightings of her in the office consisted of virtual window shopping and producing proposals that would make a third-grader facepalm - hello, typos and recycled gibberish! Frustrated execs hunted her down, only to find me, the loyal subject, cleaning up her royal messes while juggling my own duties. But her Highness? She was orchestrating my downfall to her flavor-of-the-week director. I even endured public scoldings on team calls for her missteps, culminating in a surprise team meeting where her boss swooped in to berate me. So, I bid adieu heaux. Plot twist: dear manager moonlighted as an embezzler, pilfering funds from a reputable organization. Quite the character, huh? If self-preservation and dignity are on your agenda, avoid this snake pit. It's a magnet for backstabbers and opportunists. One manager was just one in a line of ill-fated predecessors - the first dropped dead, leaving an office of unfazed colleagues since she was as endearing as a hornet's nest. And the "leadership"? Well, they're one scandal away from a Netflix special.
