Pros

Fast paced environment that teaches you to master working under extreme pressure within tight deadlines within an unfriendly environment. Allows you to learn more about huge corporation processes that still need improvement.

Cons

Work Life balance inexistent. Abusive culture that is not considerate of his workforce mental health. No feeling of reward despite hard work put by thousands of people. Throwing all your hardwork into a blackhole with no gratitude received in return. No prime subscription free, not even a birthday gift.

Pros

Learning/growth opportunities, highly skilled colleagues, options to go deep and get expertise, but also possibilities to change teams.

Cons

Many developer roles come with oncall which may mean you get paged in the night. Not everybody likes it, but it's part of the ownership principle. And you must agree with Amazon's treatment of logistics workers.
