Management is not good

Pros

If you want to damage your resume get a job here in finance group. It is a dictatorship culture. you will be highly scrutinized. This job is really for someone fresh out of school or an intern who can be talked down to and treated as if there opinion doesn't matter

Cons

If you don't come in as a senior manager you are wasting your time. Ethics is low priority. A manger was able to lie on me and HR did nothing. Terrible management and hr team.

Pros

This is a great place to learn the ropes and really discover what it is you want to do within aviation. The company is large enough that you can move around to different divisions and experience a lot of diversity within the industry. You will meet the industry players and AAR is a great name to have on your resume.

Cons

The company fights to do business with itself. Every VP is concerned with their P&L without realizing they are making it difficult for the end customer to do business with AAR they see as one business even though it is operated separately. Management also is overly-concerned with titles and alter business decisions based on intracompany politics -even if it is not in the best interest of the company or customer. The employee is treated like an easily replaced asset and do nothing to retain their best employees. Pay is below industry average and benefits are too expensive for an entry to mid level employee.

Pros

If you are of high quality, you're treated like family and the staff is engaging. There's never a dull moment and there's always a challenge involved. I was hired from an internship program for AAR internally, so once you're in, you're set.

Cons

Sloppy pieces of job descriptions when applying; you won't have a good idea of what you'll be doing until you interview.
