I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Sunnyvale, CA) in Jan 2012
Interview
There was one informal meet and greet with the hiring manager to go over experience and background. About a week later, I was invited to come back for a formal interview with a panel, which included the hiring manager, a few folks from the group I would be working with, and an HR representative. After a one hour interview, I was offered a position at the company.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Washington, DC) in Dec 2012
Interview
Pretty straightforward interview, it was with several people at different times. The interviewer was very attentive and energetic. They asked all the basic questions as well as more focused ones regarding salary expectations and what I bring to the table that nobody else has. It was a 3 step interview, with the initial weed-out process, then the background questionnaire and then the actual interview for the position applied for.

Interview
I went to an interview event, and there were five other interviewees. They took us on a tour, and then we all had 2-4 interviews. Each interview was with one hiring manager, and lasted 30 minutes. They told me about what they do, asked me about my coursework and work experience. No technical or behavioral questions.
