New Global Technology Center changes the game in India Our new Global Technology Center (GTC) in Bengaluru, India marks another important step in the digitalization of Henkel’s business activities. It will allow us to scale innovations faster and speed up their time-to-market, with the local team working closely together with other digital expert teams around the world.
Step inside the House of Schwarzkopf. Our first-ever D2C-Experience and concept store – the House of Schwarzkopf – has just opened its doors in Berlin. This stylish, interactive space offers room for inspiration, expertise, and craftsmanship, bringing the brand’s 120 years of hair expertise to life in eye-catching fashion.
A new award for women in science. Through our new Martha Schwarzkopf Award for Women in Science, female researchers in the field of natural sciences, medicine, or computer science have the chance to win a prize fund of 10,000 Euros. The award is aimed particularly at those specializing in hair research or related areas.
Opening the doors to inspiration. Our second state-of-the-art global Inspiration Center is planned for Shanghai. Once completed in 2023, the 32,000 m2 facility will be home to more than 400 Henkel Adhesive Technologies engineering experts and scientists who will collaborate on new technologies for use across our business areas.
A strong track record on sustainability. Our latest Sustainability Report details the advances we’ve made in becoming climate-positive. By the end of 2021, we’d already halved our CO2 footprint in production and fully transitioned production in 21 countries to electricity from renewable sources. The goal now is to replicate this across the entire company by 2030.

Now she’s based in Dubai where she’s leading ten Laundry & Home Care brands in the IMEA region as its Regional Marketing Head. Wherever she goes, she makes an impact and is the perfect example of how Henkel allows you to craft your career.

Pilar began working in the Purchasing Team at Henkel Egypt seven years ago before getting the opportunity to move to Dubai as GCC Cluster Head for Indirect and Logistic. She has since embarked on a new role there as Regional Category Manager for IT & Services, which gave her the opportunity to take on a managerial role for the first time. “I’m very grateful for the opportunities I have been given by Henkel to develop professionally and personally”, she says.
