Pros

Technically interesting projects Exposure to tier one clients Good talented people in technical roles Potential for good remuneration if you have skills to offer and are prepared to negotiate If you have the right line manager flexible work is easily accomodated

Cons

Scrambling to deal with market changes Internal weaknesses ignored during the resources boom are now causing pain Management is unable to communicate effectively with staff Strategic changes stall time and time again through management weakness and lack of communication Staff morale is rock bottom

Pros

Flexible working schedule, core hours and you can adapt your time around that. Benefits have no waiting period, every second Friday off, good social club.

Cons

Australia/Senior Management keep trying to change how things are done, no consistency and time to see if new processes are working before they make another change. High turnover, no engagement, restructure has left everyone on there own - lack of communication leads to gossip

Unfulfilled promise will keep WorleyParsons from achieving true success

Pros

The company offers great flexibility - one's location and hours can largely be up to the individual provided the work gets done. Pay and benefits are excellent.

Cons

Senior leadership is largely inexperienced at running a large company. Most have grown up in WP, joining WP when it had a few thousand employees, and lack the depth of experience and perspective on what it takes to successfully operate a 35,000 employee firm. There is very little accountability and trust between management and staff, office locations and even co-workers. Often the most internally successful employees are the biggest bullies.
