Pros

Competitive pay with other low skilled jobs in the vicinity. They have flexible scheduling if need be. Wally world's health care and dental care fit my needs well. Other benefits such as 401k and stock purchase plan are nice additions. Profit sharing is offered assuming you're in a store that meets the requirements to give one.

Cons

Low pay if working as a primary job. No such thing as weekends or holidays. Very few opportunities to get any extra hours or overtime if desired. The work is mostly boring and stale. We don't chase down bad guys or fly space shuttles here.

Pros

The compensation is very competitive. If you like to be a merchandiser this would be a good opportunity for you. Its not like target where everything is drawn up and product goes to the location. Walmart is really focused on saving the customer money and thats a huge upside when working for a company.

Cons

The hours are a huge downside but its known what you will be working when you sign up for the position, it is retail and customers do not shop M-F 8-5. Some of the employees really dont care what they are doing and that just plain hurts business.
