Pros

Good place to work for people that are just starting out or just out of college and looking for management experience. good benefits. good family atmosphere customers are so so. wal mart has a good discount on goods. i think that

Cons

working at wal mat is only bad. the pay is not done by performance but by how much butt kissing that you can do. management just cares about the numbers and the profit and not about saving money. managment is not par of the wal mart family

Pros

Wal-Mart has great benefits. 401K to invest in along with other stock options. Paid vacations. Paid vacation is determined by how many hours you work. Very good about letting you have time off except on holidays. Some of the associates you work with are very friendly. Some are very committed to fast and friendly customer service. If its a product in the store management or an associate will be more than happy to look it up. They celebrate associates birthday and accident free work days by having parties or cook-out. Wal-mart has fashion shows with associates to model in them and certian times they do weddings if you're getting married.3302

Cons

No room to move up in other positions. They allow people who have been there a shorter amount of time to fill those positions. They hire too many people and don't have the hours to give to the associates who have been there longer. Wal-mart will require you to work in other departments but your pay is not the same as the other employees. Certian members of management believe in working every holiday. So watch out! There is a six month waiting period before you are able to move up anywhere else. Wal-mart does not pay overtime for extra hours worked/.

Pros

I have no complains against Wal-mart itself. It is a job and I get a paycheck every two weeks. Some people don't even have a job, so I conceder myself very lucky that I have a job.The first 5 years I was very lucky had good raises and merit raises for doing a good job, than wal-mart polocies started changing. I am just glad I have a job.

Cons

Job advancements unfairness, favoritism between management and hourly workers, no communiction between management, ass kissing gets you advanced faster than hard work. management don't really know who the real good workers are in their shifts.
