Some great ideas, but poor execution to turn around this company. The mainframes are a cash cow, but outside of that, they can't turn a profitable business. Sales teams in North America have little incentives to expand their sales outside of the mainframes and into the stated new direction. Senior management have been shuffling the deck chairs on this Titanic for years, and it has caught up with them. Massive RIFs at the company in 2010, including entire strategic planning and thought leadership groups indicate that the company is preparing for their final breath prior to being sold.
