Pros

TI is a long-term player with solid management. Despite the current economic hardships and difficult business decisions ahead (which will never please everyone), TI should be in a better position to come out stronger on the other side of the downturn. TI has a first-rate ethical culture. TI also offers a good work-life balance, and decent if not stellar compensation and benefits.

Cons

In my department, there are limited opportunities for advancement once you reach a certain level.

Pros

The future of the company looks strong. Our management is committed to growth. The company has a supportive and open culture. Benefits are very good, as is compensation. We have great diversity among our employees. Our leaders do a good job of informing us as to how the business is doing, and what our plans are to improve where we can. Personnel policies regarding time off etc. are very fair.

Cons

Since it is a large company, the bureaucracy can be overwhelming at times. It's nice that we have a cafeteria, but it's not all that good and is a bit expensive.

Pros

Most groups I was exposed to are very well managed, TI has its market share based on good execution. They make a fair effect at being a 'best place to work", with exercise equipment, health programs, benefits, etc. I found a very high level of integrity. Compensation is good and carefully done.

Cons

Stock has gone nowhere, and it is hard for TI to grow. They are not great at innovating, although there is more attention being given to this now. They used to have a central research lab like a lot of other big companies but this was closed in the late 90s.
