Pros

Working at TI would give you excellent technical knowledge and marketability. Management at TI believes in delegation. You will have good amount of independence and latitude in executing projects. Texas Instruments supports employees in technical and non-technical areas and encourages professional growth. You will have access to experts and will be working with very competent co-workers. Training is an essential part of working here. The communication among various groups is good. Transparency and information sharing is excellent. The engineering teams are kept shielded from upper management politics. The technical skills that you would learn here are in demand in case you want to change jobs.

Cons

Management lacks focus and is not very aggressive. In the cut throat industry TI is competing, that's a liability. I think the company is losing its edge in technical leadership and starting to hire mediocre talent in management. TI does not have a leadership position in any of the areas its competing, this is reflected in its flat share price. Compensation is at par with industry. The benefits are not the best. The 401k is good, health insurance not so. The premiums are high. There is no sick leave. Stock options are of doubtful value because of perpetually flat share price.
