Pros

- Great engineering company. - Very pro-actively exits businesses that are not profitable and tries to reinvent themselves - Benefits are nothing great but comparable to others in the industry - They are stingy as far as side perks go (no free coffee, no free gym membership..etc) but I think they compensate on the salary

Cons

- The wireless group at TI used to be one of the best to work in. Slowly they are pulling away from this. Not the best place to work in - Reviews are once a year and are not done very well. Its upto the manager and what he thinks in that specific moment. There is no proper record of gathering your accomplishments through the year. - Its important to get in at the highest possible rank/salary. Getting promoted is extremely hard. - The sales org is the best in the company - great benefits and treat people very well

Pros

Great company with great benefits.

Cons

Some strange managers walking around there....Texas Instruments is a great company to work for, as long as you are on the right side of the fence.

Pros

As a field application engineer, I had lots of flexibility in my work schedule and had the opportunity to work on many interesting projects.

Cons

Texas Instruments is a very large company and it often feels like you are just another employee. They also tend to be a little more conservative with their products and are not always at the cutting edge of semiconductor technology.
